I´m Pipas (Filipa) Belard, the crafting hands of each and every product you can see on
SeaMeCraft.

A former kindergarten teacher, I’ve always been fascinated by the world of arts and crafts
since my childhood… something I have my family to thank for.

But I do have to confess my deep love for crochet. Although I make use of other techniques
from time to time, I always come back to my true love.

I’m from Figueira da Foz, a beautiful city on the west coast of Portugal, where the Mondego
river comes to rest in the mighty arms of the Atlantic ocean. Thus, my strong bond with the sea
and its coast since birth, inevitably became the source of the inspiration for my creations.

It comes with no surprise that all my creations are identified based on sea rock formations
called “penedos”. These “penedos” were originally named by local fishermen many years ago
to identify the best fishing spots. That is why each creation has the geographical coordinates of
that specific “penedo” in its description.

Each product reflects this love and affection as it is handcrafted and made in small quantities
so that no detail is lost and extra care is given.
